Old Friends??

Are any of you noticing you arent hanging around with your old good friends as much anymore. I used to only go out with my friends and then I found like minded people and almost stopped hanging with old friends for new friends.

I was talking about this with one of my friends and figured the last time I saw a big bunch of old friends was for a funeral. These old friends were there with my for a long time, and know as much about me as the new ones (with the exception of women).

I think its very important to keep friends with pregame friends, as they are friends with you for you, not for your passion for women... which is the only thing you may have in common with some of the new guys.

Think about it, I have but figured next week is going to a big reunion as its my birthday and i have 5 straight days of catching up with friends to do.

I haven't really gone out with pickup people, just USC buddies that are pretty natural with women anyways. My skydiving buddies are all pretty natural too. Now my fishing buddies on the other hand, they don't need women, they would rather fish than fuck, according to them, the reason is, its funner and lasts longer. I can't say this about all my fishing buddies though, my buddy Byron was actually the Bachelor on the show THE BACHELOR.

Main point being, I have gone through some very hard times, as everyone does. My friends have always been there and I will always be there. Pick up has only enhanced my life I already had, I was a goodlooking cool dude before.

I can say truthfully there is something to all of this though, I usually had no problem meeting girls, but I had problems building comfort and escalating. Now I know, how and why I had problems, and how to correct them, cool huh
Another reason I continue on this journey is because it makes you become social with everybody and this last year I have met some pretty cool guys going out and two of them became great buisness contacts. So my entire social network has improved, even though I thought it was fine before, it keeps me going forward to see whats around the corner and keep improving.

My personal opinion on it is that you shouldn't flush all of your old friends, other than the really negatives ones that you should have flushed anyway. So, yep, I'm with you on this.

Its not a flush that I conciously did. I think its just they go and act so different to me, they arent allways available to go out and the such, whereas the other guys go out all the time (someone is allways somewhere), meaning if I want to go out and just have a few drinks I either go with them or work buddies.
Mind you new friends isnt allways a bad thing, my work friends I would say will be friends for life

Oh, so then it wasn't really a flush. You just go separate ways, which is natural. That's cool. You have more than one social circle now. Nothing wrong with that. Divide your time between them.

oops, yea I fished the US open in 2003, I met him there. It was at Lake Mead Las Vegas, I remember we were goin out but we couldn't go to a strip club because he had a girlfriend at everyone. He's a host for ESPN now and has a resort at lake Amistsd

The show opportunity came out of the blue, spontaneous, I think it was through someone that produces our events, could've been ESPN or FOX sports but I'm not really sure which one. When our events are happening all the pros are interviewed daily, and we see the espn and fox hosts all the time. I've been out of the loop for a year now.

As far as the stripper thing I don't know, but now he's still with the girl from the show, Mary, and she's fishing now as an amature.

He owns a resort in Texas, on lake Amistad, 2 years ago it broke a bunch of records, there is alot of big fish there. First class from what I hear.

So, we've got a celebrity on our forum, with you, lol.

Ha ha, hardly, basically as far as that goes I'm a never was. I was always a friendly guy, at that point of my life, my marriage was ending and on top of that my second buisness fell apart. Up into that point I was doing very well, but its funny how life can throw a curve ball. Right now I'm finally close to where I was in life. I've taken a break with competition until I'm ready, I know what it takes to win and I'm mentally not there right now, to be that good ,you need drive and until the parts of my life are in order then I'll do it. I have many close friends in the sport, and all of them are suprisingly dominate in the sport. I wont be back until the U.S. open again Sept 09. I plan on traveling until then.

Truthfully its all up in the air, I have had this extra money set aside to check out some new places. I want to check out Europe for 2 weeks, and then I might go to sunfest in Florida, then in June NY, Lake Erie. I might be at lake fork in march or April. My life is like that though. I'm definately going somewhere but my Itinerary is always up for change.

Cool. I've got guys in Europe that would love for me to get over there, lol, so it must be a cool place to go.

If you do go to NYC, you will have to work on some specific ways of gaming while there. Contact me privately about that one, lol.

I know, somewhat, how it is. My itinerary frequently changes as well. With hectic lifestyles I guess that tends to happen, lol.

You should put my town on that list of travels. Something to think about, lol.
