| Sure! Piss her off and make her smile at the same time. She'll eat it up.
"u piss me off but make me smile at the same time. no i guess u win"
This isn't the first text or statement of this type that I've gotten, but it's the most recent, considering I just got it, lol.
Guys, don't worry about pissing the girl off, just don't go overboard, and add something that will make her smile.
Too many of you worry "I can't piss her off, I can't make her mad at me, I can't cross any lines, or she'll just move on, dump me, forget about me, leave me alone" or whatever.
You CAN NOT worry about that. If she's a playful girl, she'll roll with it. If not, you don't need the drama anyway.

| Seems to me that my issue dealing with this, is I go to far. Almost on purpose. In a group of friends and a HB comes - starts talking. I'll be angry and insult. A more intense neg, until I know I have blown all the opportunity in the world with her - because in my head - I never had a chance with her anyway. Perhaps I do this as a defense mechanism - she intruded in "my" circle? | |

| Aahhh, there is a difference between being angry and insulting her, and playfully pissing her off.
And, on the anger issue, we briefly talked about that in another thread, if you'll remember.
My Vault only newsletter this week, in fact, deals with inner game. It dives in a bit deeper than I normally delve into that area to explain things. It could help you out.

I don't know if I'm misreading but a neg isn't an insult.

| You are reading correctly Hobbit. Our friend rockstar, just needs some examples to display what the difference between a neg and an official insult is. For instance, if this female is a LA Lakers fan and she's wearing LA hat, and Pau Gasol halter top. NEG- Playful smile, I stand corrected, there is a little loyalty amongst losers. She mostly likely will perform three of these actions. Look at you and say, oh whatever at least we got there. Mid-defensive- Who is your team? Say it's the Spurs, her reply more, didn't we beat them to get there, playful smile back- Super defensive- Now everyone wants to bash me and my Lakers, what gives?
Here is an official insult using the same criteria. INSULT: I can't believe you cheer for a team that had an accused rapist on the roster as the star player. People who cheer for the Lakers are ignorant and stupid.
In the second paragraph, I don't condone those types of sentiments are would I illustrate this in text unless it wasn't to further along a point that leads a better understanding of Neg theory as opposed insults. peace, lvoe and succe SS

| Hook, I got to give you at least 50 cool points for using a sports analogy for a sports journalist. Nice one... My "angry neg" would be... "Wearing a Gasol top eh? Let me guess, you are wearing the top because 1) you like the colors and it matches your purse or 2) your bf gave it to you as a birthday gift?" or if she understand the players and is a little more knowledgeable than I give her credit for... "Are you a fan of Pau because he looks homeless or because he has the defensive skills of a 12 yr old?" or I'd go for the team angle... "Laker fan are we? Well congrats on being second place - it is the first loser. Maybe Kobe can make a free-style rap on being completely embarrassed by 39 points in the final game of the season. I can only hope for such a debut single..." With Sports...there is a fine line between competitive banter and insult. She could take any of these, as either one, at least I think so. | |

Question . . . how would you know upon the initial interaction what her knowledge of the players is?

| If you wouldn't want someone saying it to you, then don't say it to them. If I neg/tease someone on something, it's something that if they were to say the same thing to me if our roles were reversed, would probably make me blush and then defend myself, but I'd probably be laughing at the same time.
Say for instance that she calls you on one of your players and starts insulting him and his skill, you're gonna get pissed and defend him angrily. If she instead were to tease you playfully about his skill, then you'd playfully joke about one of the players on her team. This is what you would do with a guy, so this is what you SHOULD do with a girl.
