The “Halo” and “Devil” Effects

Have you ever heard of the “halo” effect?

What about the “devil” effect?

Not many have.

You see, apparently, humans have a problem with the “classification” of people in their lives. In other words, when you talk about someone, you usually consider someone to either be roughly good or roughly bad.

What this means is that your overpowering good qualities can and will determine your “unknown” qualities in the eyes of others.

The same is true for your overpowering bad qualities.

For example, let’s say you meet someone that smells bad. Most people will automatically assume that this person is:

1. Dirty
2. A skank
3. Not fun to be around
4. Financially inept
5. Irresponsible

… and so on. This is the “devil” effect in action.

On the flip side, if you see someone that has a pressed suit, clean shoes, in impeccable shape… most people will think that this person is:

1. Successful
2. Financially secure
3. Responsible

In other words, one “trait” dictates the assumption of every other trait.

People assume… without even thinking about it… that the other areas of your life are put together if this one thing is put together.

This is one of the reasons that the Adonis Effect is so powerful… you take a “trait” that you can control and use that trait to create a “halo” effect for yourself.

People look at you and naturally assume that because you’re body looks great… that you’ve got the rest of your life put together.

That’s POWERFUL psychology working in your favor!

Think about it… what things are you doing right now can possibly be causing a “devil” effect on you…

Let’s get them taken care of.

Are your clothes not up to par?

Your shoes… haircut… facial hair?

Another thing… and I’ll keep this short. Having a great body… and even WORKING toward getting a great body provides a foundation for confidence.

You see… you don’t just HAVE confidence.

Confidence comes from success.

And, that’s what happens when you have a great body… or are working on a great body.

I’m oversimplifying this, but women come up to your to feel your muscles… or feel your abs… and you become more confident.

Plus, you’re being successful at something that it related to how you look and carry yourself. You’re improving your “package”… more confidence.

Scientific fact.

Quite frankly, I’ve always recommended that people work on one thing in 3 separate categories of their life at a time. These 3 categories are essentially independent as far as “thought”… but they go a LONG way in improving your quality of life.

They are:

1. Health and fitness
2. Lifestyle, networking, and people skills
3. Financial

Always be working on one thing in each of these categories.

Remember, it’s much easier to have great “game” when you live a great life.
