List of Reasons?

I had an enlighten moment the other afternoon.
Why am I doing this? Why am I spending cash, time, energy - into this "PUA" in order to pick up females.

I was sitting at the barber shop, waiting to get my hair cut - and I noticed this Pilot (I do live in a Military town) came in with a HB8. Married. She obviously knew a good catch when she saw one...and probably said the "I Do's" fairly quickly. (Married to a Naval Pilot...free ride...)

All the guys in the room stopped and took notice. The facial expressions said it all.
The guys, mostly, had the "Dayyymmnn..." look on their face.
She obviously is used to being stared at - and ate it up.
The guy...acted like she is just no big thing - told her to grab his number on the ticket dispenser while he found a magazine to read.

He knew he had what everybody wanted...

I realized, a part of me, isn't doing this for the sex. In fact, its an ego thing. I believe it goes back to inner game. To be validated. To show everybody in my past that I not only made something of my self, but the one weakness I had (females) is no longer a weakness.

I'm not exactly sure if this is a positive reason or not. If I made a list of why I was doing this - to be honest - I'm not sure sex would even be in the top 5.

Why is it a bad thing for you to want better for yourself? You want something that most other men don't naturally get. You want to get better, and you want others to notice how you improved. There is nothing wrong with this! I don't care about the sex all that much either to be honest. I'm doing this to have a real relationship with a woman I'm going to be happy with. If sex happens then yeah that's cool but it's not my primary focus either.

What are you top 5 reasons?

1) To have the power - to know - I could pick and chose any women in any social setting.
2) To validate my "short comings" to all the people who said I couldn't...
3) To show all the females who didn't give me the time of day...that they missed out.
4) To have a "bullpen" - a starting rotation of HBs that I can sub in and out. Like a "flavor of the week"
5) To be wanted for sex with reasons No 4, and turn them down, because I'd rather do something else. Take the sexual power back...

Nothing wrong with those reasons, lots of guys in the community have those reasons. I can identify with every reason you have on the list and the community can help you achieve that. Now, there is one thing I want to make sure you realize 3 things #1 , I don't believe any guy can get any girl at any time, there are just too many variables for that to be true. However, I believe with the skillset this community teaches the odds are definately heavily weighed your favor when you do approach her.

Also, that #2 nothing that is taught is a magic pill where you "take two of these and are a god to women in the morning." It comes from practice and calibration in field. Will you see better results that you use to get your first night out? I'd think so as most people do!

#3 in this community you are going to be faced a lot of time with actions choices. Do I approach or not? DO I kiss her or not? Do I move her from her group or not? Should I do PUA or not? When you are given the choice of action or no action I recommend chosing ACTION. One of my favorite quotes is, "When trying to decide between two evils I chose the one I haven't done before." You've stayed at home before alone, or gone out before, and not approached. Why not try the other?

That isn't the best place to go to learn game, because the social circles are pretty difficult. We'll see though...

I completely agree, only I'd take it to the next level and just make it a matter of talking to everyone all the time and learning how to be comfortable talking to anyone, regardless of gender, race or age, it's a hell of a usefull skill to have.

And stop using your discomfort as an excuse not to make these changes. Just accept that it's gonna be hard and that you'll probably mess it up a bunch of times before you get it right, but that you'll learn and grow from it. Just tell yourself that you're gonna do it and even if you don't, then next time tell yourself that you're gonna do it that time and after a few times of doing that and being dissappointed that you didn't do it, then you're just gonna up and do it in order to stop dissappointing yourself.

I have! Hell I did it the other day at my retail job. Talked to 5 - random (non HB) people.

You can't think about that when you're socializing with them. Hell . . . THEY haven't yet proven that you should give them the chance to see YOU naked!

At least for myself . . . I KNOW I have a body they want to see, and skill they want to experience.

Be pessimistic in this instance. Assume that they don't have as great a body as you desire, but know that you have one that they WILL desire. I never assume a girl's super hot and think that I can't wait to get her clothes off, cause I'm most likely gonna be dissappointed from past experience. Most girls look a hell of a lot better all dressed up, than they do without those clothes on; how many girls have you seen who you thought were hot, but then you get that top off and her breasts aren't as nicely shaped as they looked and her nipples don't live up to expectations (watch some porn if you don't believe me on this, it's a constant issue whenever I watch any, lol). Maybe she doesn't shave and you like em smooth, or she's got big flappy lips, or a funny birthmark; it doesn't really matter how you look at it, it's INCREDIBLY rare that a girl lives up to your hopes, so in this case, be a pessimist and realise that you're not gonna be amazed, but SHE is, so you shouldn't be thinking about getting HER undressed, you should be thinking about how long till you ALLOW HER to get YOU undressed.

Do you think its going to be any easier at a club? Day game is much easier than night game concerning the approach.

No, night game is 100x worse than day game...

But I made the comment because I am planning on visiting J sometime in August... He said he was going to try out that new Venue since it apparently just opened.

LOL, I believe that's the point Hobbit's getting at. J will be taking you out for night game, which is much harder than day game. So Hobbit is suggesting that you work day game right now, before August.

You are correct.

Hobbit & L.A. you have some good points as usual. Yes, I take guys out for night game because it will offer you more opportunities to approach in a shorter amount of time, which makes it an excellent practice ground! Night game is a little more intimidating and moves at a quicker pace than day game. Day game would make some excellent practice.

You have to realize that females have plenty of insecurities. We are just human you know.

Yeah, but you guys have those damned scents that get inside our brains and turn them to mush.

Meg is right! I have talked to two of girls that I have relationships going on with about your situation indirectly and they both agree with Meg. They have their insecurities too. You just have to go up and do it, there is nothing wrong with it. When you do it the right way you'll have something interesting to say and they will enjoy the interaction. They are both aware of the community and have some light knowledge of what we do, but definately agree you just need to go after what you want.

One of the girls I mentioned this situation actually said, "Does he not have the balls to approach us?" I'm not saying this to ridicule you or anything else. I'm telling you this because that was her frist response. When you don't approach women that you want that is what they start to wonder. I know you do have the moxy to approach them. GO AFTER WHAT YOU WANT.
