| Ive been thinking of chopping my numbers down in my phone, should I just erase the numbers completely, or let the girl no that she is being erased? | |

| I'd contact the girl first. You never know if it might create that extra spark, knowing that she is about to be erased. If she doesn't care, then by all means flush the number.
I've done something similar myself before in an effort to clean my phone out a bit.

| Seems kinda weird to call her and tell her you're gonna delete her number, verging on passive agressive depending on how a person interprets it. It's basically like telling them that if they don't make it worth your while, you're just not gonna talk to them anymore. Why not just delete the number and if they call you, then you can talk to them, if not, then there's no issue, cause you aren't talking to each other anyways... | |

| OK, let me try to clear up what I mean here. I've called or texted girls and basically said "hey, I'm cleaning out my phone and don't know how I know you, and don't want to delete someone important, so can you refresh my memory on how I know you?" A lot of times they won't remember either, and yeah, some may think it's creepy, which has happened, so no problem, I delete their number. But other girls, they seriously forgot about you, or maybe lost your phone number or something like that, and they enjoy hearing from you again. Just like when you're sarging, some girls will shut you down, some girls will be open to you. | |

I agree 100%. To me reaching out in any form letting them know your deleting seems try hard in a sense. Wana know what id do if i got a text from someone asking how they know me bc they are clearing the phone out... Id ignore it. If they dont remeber me they arent worth my time and it may be a hoax any way. Id consider it this way...my list of numbers, or email address's or myspace friends, or even my real life friends...im a huge fan of quality over quantity when it comes to who i consider important in those categories. I think its an important social and emotional process to purge those contacts from time to time. Honestly, i was looking through my phone today asking myself this very question looking at some of the contacts..."Why am i using up space on my phone for this number/person?". I will be purging my phone of outdated numbers next chance i get, im in the process of purging my email contacts...i've had the same email addy since the mid to early 90's. I've also taken close care to only invite people i value as myspce friends. I use facebook as my "junk mail" of social sites. Emotionally i think comming to terms with ones self when doing the purge builds character and strength, human nature is to horde, especially when it comes to social ties, and going against that imo helps keep us in a realistic state of mind.

| Im with Meg and Ka on this one, I think you should just flush the girls Juice. Some girls and guys are my own invented acronym: W.O.M.T.G.( Waste Of My Time Girl/Guy) Life happens that way, bro. Wish them well in your spirits, and let the universe take care of it's own plight, and you take care of your own plight. peace, love and succe SS | |

| I agree with the others above. I wouldn't tell her she's being erased. I clear up my phone from time to time and when I get a message from a number I erased I tell them "I lost their number". They interpret it how they want. | |
