| The title says it all. Mystery and RJ were on the Dr. Phil show yesterday. i don't know what they were thinking but I know it's not good I got to emails from Style and Vault. (I subscibed to them)
"Vault here - and I have a confession to make. I never thought I would be writing an email to you combining Infield Insider... and Dr. Phil! I just wanted to let you know that our very own DJ Fuji and Kamouflage are slated on the Dr. Phil show today... along with Ross Jeffries and Mystery. Now, if you don't care at all about Dr. Phil's show... Now, there has been a lot of Buzz about this Dr. Phil episode in various forums in the pick-up community... so your Tivo my already be programmed. If not... DON'T bother. Personally, I have no idea what all this Buzz is about... as this show is NOT going to do anything for you game or the community. On the contrary, this show will probably hurt the entire community. Now I have not seen the show... but just consider this for a moment: First of all, we're talking about " Dr. Phil" here - not Howard Sterne. Secondly, the show primary audience is WOMEN... who typically also watch Oprah and read Women's Day magazine (hmmm... not the type of HB you'd see on any episode of Infield Insider). And then, there's the Network TV factor... can you say " SPIN City" . Seriously now, if you have watched more than 3 minutes of ANY Jerry Springer episode you know producers are not always... should I say " forthcoming" with their motivation in inviting guest. Oh, and by the way... the name of the episode is " Women Beware!" And, if you're still not convinced that this Dr. Phil episode will do more damage for the community than good... just read this except straight for the Dr. Phil website: " Men are on the prowl! Some guys win your heart and dupe you for thousands... other men learn the slick techniques of pick-up artists so they can get you in the sack! Go inside a classroom where single men are being taught The Mystery Method -- a step-by-step technique on how to meet, attract and date beautiful women. The instructors say this method teaches guys to be more confident... Then, meet Ross Jeffries... he's created monsters... his followers are seducing woman through deception... And, Victoria says she fell in love for the first time with a guy whom who she thought was the perfect man... he ended up scamming her out of $100,000... If you're a lady looking for love but don't want to find heartache, you won't want to miss this show! Yeah... I wonder how this is going to turn out? Now when I heard about this Dr. Phil show... frankly I was confused... Why the heck would The Mystery Method, Ross Jeffries and even our own DJ Fuji go on the show in the first place? So I went to DJ Fuji, and asked precisely that question! Here's his response: DJ Fuji: " Hey Vault... great question. I have to admit... I was surprised to hear that the producers of the Dr. Phil show decided to even air that show - as it was filmed way back in 2006! Here's how it all happen. You see, Kamouflage and I got invited to help tape this infield segment for the Dr. Phil show. Now keep in mind, I was relatively new at the time (little less than a year of experience) and was running pretty much pure Mystery Method... as I had not met Mehow yet. And, it didn't seem like a bad idea at the time... but what a mistake. The whole thing was nerve wracking as hell. Just imagine... knowing that your screw ups could be aired on national television... it makes normal approach anxiety seem like nothing at all. Wow... its crazy thinking how different we were back in 2006. Now, let me tell you now... as I know this question is bound to come-up: Yes, a lot of it was indeed staged, but the infield portion was real, albeit some of the girls were planted. And, the whole time I was trying to get 'caught' using game, too. I figured the only way to shut up the naysayers would be to get caught on camera and show that women REALLY don't care about that... and that even if a woman catches you gaming her - it's still on! But for the life of me, I couldn't get a single girl to recognize 'jealous girlfriend', the 'best friends test' or the 'nice nails' neg. - not even at Saddle Ranch!!! Talk about Frustrating. And that wasn't the worst of it. The live taping was pretty brutal, too. Ironically... they used basic NLP anchoring to manipulate the formerly receptive audience into hating us... for being manipulative. Then, they brought out a woman with a sob story who had nothing to do with the community and used the emotions she elicited to paint us in a poor light. If you ever see the footage... you'll see - logically, it made no sense... but it emotionally riled the audience... they hated us! It was a good attempt by those of us on the show to give a glimpse into what we're all about. Unfortunately, the producers chose to create controversy and drama... you know how it is - it's all about the ratings. Lesson learned." So there you have it - the behind the scene glimpse of the Dr. Phil show - taped two years ago. For me... this solves my dilemma... Dr. Phil today OR a nap?" (Vault)
(Style) "Hey Crash, I wanted to share some thoughts on an experience I recently had. I received a call from two producers on the Dr. Phil show. They wanted me to come on and discuss The Game and the community with Dr. Phil. However, the more I talked to them, the more it seemed like a set-up. So I declined. Instead, they got two of the people in The Game to participate. And they did a few sneaky things, according to those who were on the show: 1. They filmed some guys sarging, but planted women with secret cameras in the club. 2. They didn't tell one of the PUAs that another guru was going to be on the show, then they encouraged the guru to be adversarial. The result was a PUA slugfest that sounded like a bad day at Project Hollywood. 3. They brought out a woman at the end of the show who'd been hurt by a man who was NOT in the community to confront these guys. The working title of the segment: WOMEN, BEWARE! This information just broke my heart. It really infuriates me. When I wrote The Game and went on to do the press, I told myself that I would neither DEFEND nor ATTACK the seduction community. I'd simply present the truth as it was, the good and the bad. However, the more interviews I did, the more I realized I was going to have to defend something: The right of guys to learn this. Anyone who's ever seen the front page of Cosmopolitan or Sex in the City knows that self-help, sexual improvement, dating advice, and attraction skills is an accepted rite of passage for women. There is no equivalent for men: We are simply shown images of women we are supposed to desire in the pages of Maxim and Playboy, then not told what to do about it. People get tutored for everything else in life. If you can't do math, you get a tutor. Sex in the City was women getting tutored in what to do with different types of men. I think the coolest thing someone could do is recognize their weakness and work to improve it. When guys ask me questions, it's usually not about what to do to trick a woman into bed -- it's about how to get over heart- break, whether Alexander Technique will improve their posture, whether improv classes will make them more spontaneous, what to do about "this one special girl," how to dress, and so on. Though some of the "gurus" may have their issues, 99.9 percent of the guys I met learning this are the NICE GUYS. They are the guys women always say they are looking for, yet at the same time are never attracted to. Usually, the true assholes, jerks, and misogynists are too cocky and arrogant to even consider that they might need to "learn" how to interact with women. So anyone who's going to get on a bully pulpit and demonize men for trying to improve themselves is not a friend of mine. And any pundit who's going to criticize men for manipulation when that's exactly what their show producers regularly do to their guests is not a friend of mine. The community may have its problems -- especially for those who get sucked too deeply into it, as I did -- but there's nothing wrong with learning social skills, if you're learning from the RIGHT teachers. The real victims in my experience were not women. The victims I witnessed, the people I saw hurt by the game, were only men. Because the game is a forking path: there's a light side and a dark side, and some get lost in the dark side and lose themselves -- in addition to creeping out the very women they're trying to attract. As a writer, I understand the temptation members of the media feel to create an obvious sensationalism piece. But it's far better to do the research and find the REALITY of a situation -- and it makes a better story. Because the reality is often never obvious. Sometimes it's the last thing you'd ever expect. That's what most of my books are about. I realize this email is sort of a rant, and perhaps I'm even preaching to the converted, but I had to get it off my chest. There are some 42,000 of you on this list. Some of you are in positions of influence or respect -- whether on campus, in the media, at home, at work, or in a community. Let's do our best to counter small-mindedness and social pressure designed to hold US back because of someone ELSE'S fear wherever we hear it. Whether it's about learning the game, a personal attack against you, or something else you care about, don't take the bait and get defensive. All you have to do is speak the truth. It's the best weapon you have, and so sharp that no one can ever bend it if you wield it properly -- without fear or insecurity. And that's one to grow on, Neil"
I dont know how this will play out. Maybe I'm paraoid but this will probably blow open the entire communty. I would appreciate somone uploading a link to watch the show because I was at work and missed it. | |

| It wasn't Mystery anyway dude. It was RJ, Savoy, and The Don. The misconception was that they showed Mystery Method instructs. Mystery is no longer a part of that business it is ran by Sinn and Savoy. | |
