Quit Hanging On To Regrets

I’m tired of listening to people talk about how much they “regret” something that they’ve done or should have done…

My advice… take it or leave it:

LET IT GO

It’s over, done, finito, 5000…

Quit living in the past… and quit hanging on to regrets. You’ve got a WHOLE LIFE ahead of you.

Big deal if you get shot down. Big deal if something happens that you can’t control.

Look, if you have a challenge in life, quit worrying about what got you there and start FIXING IT.

This is the one thing that I see wrong in most workplaces when I do consulting work. Most bosses are so worried about WHY something screwed up or YELLING at someone for screwing up instead of worrying about FIXING THE PROBLEM FIRST.

Fix the problem first, then figure out what went wrong later.

I’ll repeat: FIX THE PROBLEM FIRST.

But you can’t do that if you’re wallowing in the past.

You know your sticking points in life. Quit making things so complicated and let go of your ego. Stop fighting everything.

Don’t regret anything. If you had known better, you wouldn’t have done it would you?

Exactly. You can’t know every outcome to every situation because you’ll never have ALL of the information.

All you can do is go with the information you have and give it your best shot.

BUT… do you know what most people do in some situations… like dating?

They MAKE UP their own information.

Stuff like:

She won’t want to talk to me
She’s probably got a boyfriend
Etc..

… just because you were shut down ONE TIME because of one of the above reasons.

Guess what… now you’re like a hunting dog that’s gun shy…

You’re no use to yourself or your dating life.

So stop.

Stop hanging on to your regrets. That past has virtually nothing to do with your future. It’ll only keep you down.

Mark my word.
